The 2016 Suzuki Conference was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota from May 26th to May 30th. AcoustaGrip products received accolades from Teachers and Students alike. Among the many exciting events held during the weekend, there was an auction of products donated by various companies to raise money for the Suzuki Association. AcoustaGrip donated two packages to the auction.

Connie McCullough is the president of the Suzuki Association of Utah and has been teaching private violin lessons for over 19 years. She has been a Suzuki Violin & Viola teacher for the last 9 years. She also has extensive experience as a performer with many different quartets, orchestras, symphonies and bands.

Ms. McCullough was delighted to be the winner of one of the packages of AcoustaGrip products donated to the Suzuki Association. She and her private students all use AcoustaGrip shoulder rests. She has recently accepted an important position with the Salt Lake City Schools with approximately 300 string students. She is planning on promoting AcoustaGrip products to all the Orchestral students in the schools.

 

Suzuki Conference 2016 AcoustaGrip Auction Winner Judy Bossuat-Gallic

Judy W. Bossuat-Gallic

The second winner was Judy W. Bossuat-Gallic. Her personal contact with Dr. Suzuki began in 1974 and continued through 1995. She participated in 14 European conferences with Dr. Suzuki. She also organized the Lyon, France Suzuki European Conference in 1983.

Bossaut-Gallic was selected to lead over 3,000 students at the Suzuki World Conference final concerts in Turin, Italy in 2006 and Matsumoto, Japan in 2013. She has been teaching strings, conducting orchestras and training teachers for over 40 years, 16 of them at the ‘Ecole de Musique Suzuki’ in Lyon, France. Many of her former students have attended prominent conservatories and are pursuing professional careers soloing and playing in leading orchestras worldwide. She is a proud new owner of AcoustaGrip shoulder rests!
